The Airedale Terrier is a relatively modern breed. The breed first appeared in the latter half of the 19th Century.

Airedale Terriers are natural athletes and can also be found working in search and rescue teams in Europe. They can also be found in obedience and agility competitions.

Airedale Terriers are great with children.
