7 Week Old Southern California Airedale Puppies

Annie gave birth to nine puppies on January 2 right here in our living room. We kept them just in the living room until after we gave them their first of three required shots. One of the things that the shots prevent is an airborne disease that affects dogs, so we didn’t want to put them outside until at least they had their first shot.

Naturally once they were out in the backyard they loved it. So, depending on weather conditions, we tried to get the puppies out in the backyard for play time every day

Annie, loves to run and play with the pups but sometimes she’s a little too excited so we have to tell her to take it easy. She loves to run after the pups and on many occasions when she overtakes them she leaps right over them. The puppy still gather around their mom, and then when I call Annie over the pups are usually right behind.

Seven week old Airedale Terrier puppies playing in my backyard here in San Diego California. In just one more week these puppies will be leaving for new forever homes one copy is going to Chula Vista, another one is going to Oceanside, a third one is going to Calgary Canada, one is going up to wine country and Poso Robles California another to Northridge California, Los Angeles, Claremont CA, Oregon and lastly one little female will be going all the way to Montana.

He is swift, formidable, graceful, big of brain, an ideal chum and guard. ….To his master he is an adoring pal. To marauders he is a destructive lightning bolt.”
