Mountain Airedales 360°

Walking my two Mountain Airedale Terriers in a local park here in the city of San Diego California. I used my new Samsung Gear 360°camera to film this.

My male Airedale Terrier, Oakley, is nine years old and that is last vet trip a couple weeks ago, he weighed in at 99 pounds! My female Airedale is Annie, who is about 2.5 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. If you go back and look at some of my videos with my Airedales here in San Diego, you see I film them in high definition, also  in 4K resolution using an aerial video drone, and now with my new virtual reality camera.

This Samsung Gear 360 camera actually has to high definition 4K lenses and can take  still pictures with either lens or a combination of both lenses and stick them together. Also, as you see here, it can take 180° video if I was using just one lens or using both lenses, 360° video that’s stitched together. Actually, the best way to view this type of video is through virtual reality headset goggles. These goggles start about $20 for the cardboard style ones  and then goes up to hundreds of dollars depending on the sophistication. Personally, Samsung also sells a virtual reality headset that’s made to snap in one of their smart phones and I believe this sells for somewhere around $99 here in the United States.

So, when watching this on YouTube, naturally you lose quite a bit of definition and also you give up the virtual reality affect, but, you still have the ability to move around while the video is playing or to pause the video and then move around the shot so you can see what’s all around the subject.

As I said in the video, I think this is the ideal tool for assisting in the sale of residential real estate. If used correctly, this could be a tremendous time saver for both real estate agents and their clients. Yes,  it’s one thing to see photos of the exterior of a property or the interior and even aerial videos, but, setting this up in let’s say the living room, in one position,  and then either taking video or 360° still photos, lets the viewer  turnaround in any direction and see what the views are, just as if they were standing in that room!
