Airedale Puppy Love

It’s clear from my last video of these Airedale Terrier puppies playing, that people like to watch these little guys as they’re having fun. So, is your second video of my nine, 4 1/2 week old Airedale Terriers playing in my home in San Diego California.

Really, who is not going to get cheered up just watching a couple minutes of these guys romping around? If there was somebody like that, I don’t think they’d be a friend of mine.

I don’t know if they still have it, but I remember around the holidays, one of the local TV channels would play hours of just a log burning in the fireplace. I guess this is my equivalent to that holiday log, nine little Airedale puppies just having fun! Continue reading “Airedale Puppy Love”

Airedale Terrier puppies at play

4 1/2 week old Airedale Terrier puppies playing here in San Diego California. These nine puppies are in the process of transitioning from feeding from their mom to puppy food that’s been soaked in goats milk.

After they eat, they usually time for socializing and play. At 4 1/2 weeks old, they’re just at the time when their teeth are starting to come in. This video was taken when their eyes still had not opened. It was about a week before their eyes started to open. Even when the eyes are open, the first few days, I don’t think they are seeing correctly. It takes a little while for all the pathways to develop for correct vision. They weigh 19–25 kilograms (42–55 lb) in fit condition and have a height at the withers of 58–61 centimetres (23–24 in) for males, with females slightly smaller. The American Kennel Club standard specifies a very slightly smaller dog. Larger Airedales, up to 55 kilograms (121 lb) can sometimes be found in North America. Nine AIREDALE TERRIER PUPPIES born on 1-2-2019

First of all, Annie, Judi & I would like to say thanks to all my human Airedale companions who expressed great interest in this joyous occasion. Also, a special thanks to the professional breeders and local home breeder who offered great advice and put up with my calling for advice as situations arose.
