Yes, yesterday afternoon to be precise, Annie’s pups and Annie celebrated the pups one week old birthday.
Also, I’d like to report that Annie is now back on 100% all-natural feeding schedule. Sometimes she might feed for just 50 minutes and at other times it’s gone over 2 1/2 hours. Some years ago, I visited our breeder of the larger Airedales in California. Now, just a few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be in a position to visit an out-of-state breeder of these larger Airedale Terriers. I should say, that I’ve owned for Airedale terriers, and three of them were the normal AKC breed standard variety.
Then I was lucky enough to find out about the larger Airedale Terriers which are also known as mountain Airedales or Oorang Airedale Terriers. The larger Airedale Terriers are known as Mountain Airedales or Oorang Airedales.
Even though these larger Airedale Terriers could be AKC registered, because they are so far beyond the breed standard measurements, they would not be allowed to enter any AKC sanctioned dog shows. But, how many of you were considering purchasing or larger Airedale Terrier to enter into dog shows anyway?
Personally, I feel that the larger Airedale Terrier is the ideal size companion dog. My male dog in this video is Oakley and he currently weighs in at 99 pounds! The smaller female, Annie, weighs in at 55 pounds. I realize there are a lot of detractors out there who pooh-pooh the larger Airedale Terrier, but the fact is that there are many who believe the AKC should formalize standards for the larger Airedale breed. In this video it looks like Oakley is kissing Annie. Actually, Annie occasionally has goopy eyes and on this occasion Oakley noticed this and just decided to assist Annie in her grooming.
We’ve had both of these Oorang Airedales (aka Mountain Airedales), since they were eight weeks old! Even though there is a big weight difference, because of their great personalities they get along fabulously. Annie still has all her puppy energy while Oakley at 10 years old is much more mellow. I’ve always been a do-it-yourselfer when it comes to grooming my two Mountain Airedale Terriers. Mostly,DIY grooming is out of necessity because I know that neither of my two Airedale’s would put up with professional grooming.
I think if you want to bring your hairdo and for professional grooming you should start when they’re a puppy so they get used to the experience. On the other hand, looking at videos like this, that go over the entire procedure, and getting a good set of electronic clippers, it’s really relatively easy to do this yourself. In the dog school near Berlin as well as near Leipzig the Airedale Terrier Balin was trained by the dog trainer team Uwe Krüger, Bettina Krüger and Joanna Bauer in the individual and group training.
The main focus of the training was elements in which the obedience of the dog and its behavior in the public, for example during the meeting with pedestrians, joggers and cyclists is checked. It was emphasized that the dog in everyday situations such as in the shopping center and in the park, is neutral to its environment and thus has grown into a relaxed family companion.

Walking my two Mountain Airedale Terriers in a local park here in the city of San Diego California. I used my new Samsung Gear 360°camera to film this.
My male Airedale Terrier, Oakley, is nine years old and that is last vet trip a couple weeks ago, he weighed in at 99 pounds! My female Airedale is Annie, who is about 2.5 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. If you go back and look at some of my videos with my Airedales here in San Diego, you see I film them in high definition, also in 4K resolution using an aerial video drone, and now with my new virtual reality camera.
