Mountain Airedales Kissing – Annie & Oakley

In this video it looks like Oakley is kissing Annie. Actually, Annie occasionally has goopy eyes and on this occasion Oakley noticed this and just decided to assist Annie in her grooming.

We’ve had both of these Oorang Airedales (aka Mountain Airedales), since they were eight weeks old! Even though there is a big weight difference, because of their great personalities they get along fabulously. Annie still has all her puppy energy while Oakley at 10 years old is much more mellow. Two San Diego Mountain Airedale Terriers

Mountain Airedale Terriers are usually around 40/45 pounds or so, but, the larger Airedale Terrier also known as a mountain Airedale or an Oorang Airedale can weigh up to about 110 pounds!

My male Airedale Terrier in this video,Oakley, is 92 pounds! Personally, I think this is the ideal size for an Airedale Terrier. These larger Airedale Terriers are AKC registered but because they don’t meet the standard breed size requirements cannot be entered into any AKC sanctioned shows. Airedale Terriers have a different type of coat versus most dogs. They’re stiff coat is referred to as a wirehair coat and the big benefit of such a coat, is that they shed very little and for those who may have allergies to pets fur, the Airedale may be the perfect dog for them.
