New human companions select their California Airedale puppies
Airedale Terrier lovers started to come by this week to see their new family members in person.
All nine of Annie’s puppies are seven weeks old, which means that next week all but one will be going home with their new human companions to their forever homes.
Pictured above, is our Ms. Red, who was actually the first of the three female Airedale puppies to be selected, and her new human Mom . . . Just look at the big smile on both of their faces!

First pick of our female puppies was Ms. Red who will now be known as Mable.
Now, Mable although selected in person by her new mom, won’t be leaving next week. Mable is actually going to be living in Montana and because of all the recent snow, her owner decided to wait a little while before actually picking her up.
So, Mable, Annie, and Judy and I will all be spending some more quality time together here in San Diego California before her new mom comes back out to pick her up for the long drive back to Montana.
I always recommend that puppies stay on good quality puppy food until they are a year old. I also recommend adding powdered goats milk, about a teaspoon sprinkled on their food per day. Also, all the new puppy owners receive a small towel/washcloth in a sealed plastic sandwich bag. This washcloth has been in Annie’s sleeping area for a number of weeks and has are scent on it. I believe when this is put in the new puppies sleeping area, it will make the transition to their new home a little easier

President Roosevelt claimed that “An Airedale can do anything any other dog can do and then lick the other dog, if he has to.“
1949 marked the peak of the Airedales’ popularity in the USA, ranked 20th out of 110 breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club.

Welcome to Montana, Mable. Love, Ali (in Roundup)
I would love, love , to have an Airedale- terriers puppy…
Thanks for the inquiry. The virus has made the prices for puppies go through the roof for almost all breeds. The larger/Oorang Airedales are the ones that I like the best, but they are much harder to find than the standard size Airedale. A breeder in Colorado had seven Oorang pups, the asking price is $2500 and she sold all within just a few weeks.
You may wish to consider”
The AKC ‘Marketplace’ website for upcoming litters. There was a New Mexico breeder with a litter expected in a few month as I recall.
