Two San Diego Mountain Airedale Terriers
Mountain Airedale Terriers are usually around 40/45 pounds or so, but, the larger Airedale Terrier also known as a mountain Airedale or an Oorang Airedale can weigh up to about 110 pounds!
My male Airedale Terrier in this video,Oakley, is 92 pounds! Personally, I think this is the ideal size for an Airedale Terrier. These larger Airedale Terriers are AKC registered but because they don’t meet the standard breed size requirements cannot be entered into any AKC sanctioned shows. My male mountain Airedale Terrier is eight years old and weighs 92 pounds. My female mountain Airedale Terrier is 15 months old and weighs 46 pounds. The Airedales had been with me a number of times when I’m operating this aerial drone, and so have become quite used to it, and now really don’t pay much attention to it. Using the Feiyu G4 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal for GoPro for my two San Diego Mountain Airedale Terriers. This video was taken in mission trails regional Park in San Diego California. This regional Park, at 5700 acres, is the largest west of the Mississippi
Both of these Airedales are the larger Mountain Airedales which are also known as Oorang Airedales. The larger of the two Airedales is Oakley and he weights 92 pounds. The smaller Airedale is Annie, and she weighs 46 pounds.

The Airedale can be used as a working dog and also as a hunting dog. Airedales exhibit some herding characteristics as well, and have a propensity to chase animals. They have no problem working with cattle and livestock. However, an Airedale that is not well trained will agitate and annoy the animals.
The Airedale Terrier, like most Terriers, has been bred to hunt independently. As a result, the dog is very intelligent, independent, strong-minded, stoic, and can sometimes be stubborn. If children and Airedale are both trained correctly, Airedales can be an excellent choice for a family dog.
