The bigger Airedale Terriers are also called Oorang Airedales, Mountain Airedales, or just plain larger Airedale Terriers.

There’s quite a lot of misinformation about these larger Airedale Terriers. Having owned both regular sized Airedales and the larger Airedales oh, I can definitively say there is absolutely no difference oh, well except for size, between the regular AKC standard Airedales and the larger Airedales! Arizona Mountain Airedale Terriers

Tova is a 14 week old Arizona Mountain Airedale Terrier. Her housemate is Teddy who is also a larger Airedale Terrier.

When Teddy first came to San Diego we had Annie who had just given birth to nine puppies about five months before Teddy arrived. Annie and Teddy were inseparable, and when we moved from San Diego to Arizona in November 2020 they were both exceedingly happy in their new house and their new big backyard. I have owned both the regular size Airedale terriers and the larger Airedale Terriers also known as Oorang Airedales, Mountain Airedales or just plain big Airedale Terriers.

These larger Airedales are Annie and Teddy, located in San Diego, California.

The first time Airedales were imported to North America was in the 1880s, and the American Kennel Club officially recognized the breed in 1888.
