When I purchased our new female pup, Tova, a nearby Peoria AZ resident who walked his eight-year-old Airedale with Teddy and I, also purchased a larger AKC male puppy (Tova’s brother) and they both came down together via special auto pet transport.

The Airedale Terrier, like most Terriers, has been bred to hunt independently. As a result, the dog is very intelligent, independent, strong-minded, stoic, and can be stubborn.

Mountain Airedale Terriers are also know as the Oorang Airedale and sometimes as the King Airedales.

They are great with children and make fantastic hunting dogs, fearless watchdogs or just a loyal friend. During the 1930s, American breeders in Ohio developed what is known as the Oorang strain of Airedale Terrier. Bred to be larger and sturdier than previous Airedales.
