California Airedale Terrier Puppies at six weeks old

This video shows three of our six male Airedale Terrier puppies at six weeks old. These puppies were born in our house, and this is the first time that they’ve been outside. I’m pretty sure it was the new outside environment that had a dramatic affect on all these puppies. It seems like they are different puppies compared to having them on the inside. Outside, the puppy seems very subdued and cautious compared to their inside boisterous activity levels.

Today, is the six week old birthday for these puppies. Yesterday, they had their first of three vaccinations and up to now they were born and have been raised in our living room.

5 week old male Airedale puppies

This video shows three male Airedale Terrier puppies born in San Diego California.

Three male Airedale puppies at just over six pounds. These puppies have been weaned from their mothers milk on a combination of softened puppy food mixed in with goats milk. Currently there being fed about every seven hours. In a couple of days, we will go to a morning and an evening feeding as we transition from softened puppy food to regular puppy food. Male Airedale Puppy

Male Airedale Puppy at 5 weeks and 2 days old.

This video is the Airedale puppy that has a tan color collar . . . We call him Mr. Tanner.

We put color collars on all the puppies at about three weeks old. Really, except for some weight differences, to me anyway, all of the puppies look so cute, I really cannot differentiate between them by just looking at their faces. Female Airedale Puppies

Female Airedale Puppies at 5 weeks and 2 days old

Annie, our 4 1/2 year old AKC registered Airedale Terrier had her first litter of nine puppies. There were three females and six male puppies. This video shows that three female Airedale puppies at five weeks and two days old.

Airedale Puppy Weight

Just a couple of days ago, it was our weekly Airedale Terrier puppy weight taking time. There are two very important reasons for weighing Airedale puppies on a weekly basis. The first reason is, you want to be sure that the puppies are gaining weight every week. If for some reason they didn’t gain any weight, at this stage of their little life, it would be time to bring them to the vet.

The second main reason for weighing your Airedale puppies on a weekly basis, is to ensure that when your next deworming treatment comes up (usually every 10 days) you give the right dosage, which is based on their current weight.

Airedale Puppy Love

It’s clear from my last video of these Airedale Terrier puppies playing, that people like to watch these little guys as they’re having fun. So, is your second video of my nine, 4 1/2 week old Airedale Terriers playing in my home in San Diego California.

Really, who is not going to get cheered up just watching a couple minutes of these guys romping around? If there was somebody like that, I don’t think they’d be a friend of mine.

I don’t know if they still have it, but I remember around the holidays, one of the local TV channels would play hours of just a log burning in the fireplace. I guess this is my equivalent to that holiday log, nine little Airedale puppies just having fun! Continue reading “Airedale Puppy Love”

Airedale Terrier puppies at play

4 1/2 week old Airedale Terrier puppies playing here in San Diego California. These nine puppies are in the process of transitioning from feeding from their mom to puppy food that’s been soaked in goats milk.

After they eat, they usually time for socializing and play. At 4 1/2 weeks old, they’re just at the time when their teeth are starting to come in.
