Spay Neuter Warning

Questions are being raised as to automatically believing that spaying and neutering your dog where is the best for your pet and society.

Airedale Terrier Thanksgiving

Airedale Terrier Thanksgiving

In the quaint town of Prescott Arizona, nestled amidst rolling hills and vibrant autumn foliage of central Arizona’s High Desert at elevations of 5,300, lived two spirited  larger Airedale Terriers named Teddy. and Tova. Teddy and Tova were no ordinary dogs; they possessed an uncanny ability to understand human language and  hearts brimming with warmth and compassion. As Thanksgiving approached, Teddy and Tova eagerly awaited the festivities, tails wagging with anticipation of the savory aromas and joyous gatherings that filled the holiday air.

Airedale Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving morning, Teddy and Tova’s senses were awakened by the tantalizing scent of roasting turkey wafting from the kitchen. Their noses twitched with delight as they imagined the juicy meat and crispy skin that awaited them. As the family gathered around the dining table, Teddy and Tova eyes were sparkling with curiosity. So, right away I knew something was up. As we’re walking from the car toward the  large dog area, some park personnel pulled up and entered the  enclosure. It’s then that I found out that they were here to remove a 3 foot rattlesnake. Unfortunately, I also learned that just shortly before we arrived, a younger dog was bitten by this rattlesnake. Airedale Terriers and Rattlesnakes

Airedale Terriers and Rattlesnakes

I made this video a couple years back when I was still in San Diego. We’re now in Peoria Arizona, and with  the weather warming up, I think it apropos that we pay close to attention went out walking our dogs.

Last year, when out walking my dogs on the trail in Paloma Park, here in the Peoria area of Arizona, we encountered diamondback snakes on a number of occasions. Really, this should be expected, because after all, we are in the Sonoran Desert and this is the home for some pretty good-sized rattlesnakes. Continue reading “Airedale Terriers and Rattlesnakes”

Arizona Mountain Airedale Terriers

Arizona Mountain Airedale Terriers

Tova is a 14 week old Arizona Mountain Airedale Terrier. Her housemate is Teddy who is also a larger Airedale Terrier.

When Teddy first came to San Diego we had Annie who had just given birth to nine puppies about five months before Teddy arrived. Annie and Teddy were inseparable, and when we moved from San Diego to Arizona in November 2020 they were both exceedingly happy in their new house and their new big backyard.
