Living with Mountain Airedales
All Airedale Terriers have great dispositions and are easily trained.
The Airedale Terrier, the largest member of the terrier group, is known to admirers as the King of Terriers. They have broad versatility, intelligence, and unswerving loyalty. These Mountain Airedales (also known as Oorang Airedales) are a sub-breed of the standard Airedale Terrier and were bred to be a much larger size.
They are AKC registered, but, because they do not fit the AKC for the breed, they cannot be entered into AKC dog shows.
I and many other Airedale owners feel these larger Airedales are really the ideal size for this great dog! Our male Oorang Airedale Terrier above is Oakley, he is seven years old & one very smart dog!
