Larger Arizona Airedale Terrier

President Roosevelt claimed that “An Airedale can do anything any other dog can do and then lick the other dog, if he has to.”
This video shows Teddy at one of our local off-leash dog parks here in Peoria. In just a few days Teddy is going to be surprised, because we are getting a eight week old Oorang female Airedale puppy to be his new companion.

Since the puppy won’t have all of her required shots at eight weeks old, we stopped taking Teddy to the dog parks to ensure that he doesn’t bring back any type of disease that little Tova might catch. Teddy’s companion for his entire life so far, was our Annie, who passed away suddenly a few months ago at the very young age of about 6 1/2 years old. I really think when it comes to the Airedales, it’s really beneficial for them to have another dog as a companion.
When Annie passed away I could tell that Teddy was heartbroken and depressed for over a month. Since Annie’s passing, Teddy has developed some anxiety when we have to leave him home alone. We’re hoping that this will vanish once he meets his new lifelong companion. Airedales have wonderful dispositions and are easily trained. The Airedale Terrier, the largest member of the terrier group, is known to admirers as the King of Terriers. They have broad versatility, intelligence, and unswerving loyalty.
1949 marked the peak of the Airedales’ popularity in the USA, ranked 20th out of 110 breeds recognized by theĀ American Kennel Club.
