This smart Airedal Terrier is bound and determined to keep her treasure. She found it, and she’s keepiin’ it! Airedales are problem solvers, and she figures out how to get it thru her doggie door.
What great dogs! I’m on my fourth Airedale. The thing I really like about this video is that at the end I swear she seems to be contemplating and thinking about how she’s going to solve this problem and then she comes up with a solution by grabbing the Styrofoam by the side instead of in the middle. Does your dog listen to commands outside, off leash, under distraction, in the presence of other dogs? Does your dog pull you down the street to meet an approaching pedestrian? Most dog owners never know the joy of a well trained dog, even though many go through training programs.
Airdales love the bush and being real dogs , I have had them for years , your right about not being over handled , very independent dog , but loyal , bloody naughty though ,,,personally wouldn’t own one in a city as they love being in the mix of stuff , not a excessory to ones hand bag , or brat kids , let them be what they are breed for , in the country on the back of trucks with their owner all day , not doggy daycare bullshit! In this video it looks like Oakley is kissing Annie. Actually, Annie occasionally has goopy eyes and on this occasion Oakley noticed this and just decided to assist Annie in her grooming.
We’ve had both of these Oorang Airedales (aka Mountain Airedales), since they were eight weeks old! Even though there is a big weight difference, because of their great personalities they get along fabulously. Annie still has all her puppy energy while Oakley at 10 years old is much more mellow. Airedale Terriers are very smart dogs and therefore usually easy to train. This video shows the training of a three-month-old Airedale Terrier puppy.
My personal observations about training and/or playing with in Airedale Terrier is that they do bore easily. Therefore, I would suggest not to linger on a single command for too long and have your training sessions at least once a day, always with multiple commands and plenty of treats. Airedale Terrier + snow = lots of fun!
Airedale Terriers just love to play in the snow. Here is a photo of my two Mountain Airedales in the snow at Big Bear Mountain in Southern California. Oakley is eight years and weights 92 lbs. Annie is about 16 months old and about 50 lbs.

My male mountain Airedale Terrier is eight years old and weighs 92 pounds. My female mountain Airedale Terrier is 15 months old and weighs 46 pounds. The Airedales had been with me a number of times when I’m operating this aerial drone, and so have become quite used to it, and now really don’t pay much attention to it.
