Airedale Terrier puppies – Oorang Airedale Dog Training
These pictures of the Airedale Terrier puppies were taken at my home here in San Diego California. The mom, Annie, is 4 1/2 years old and weighs approximately 53 1/2 pounds. Annie hooked up with Jack, who is five years old and weighs between 75 and 80 pounds. Exactly 63 days after their hook up Annie gave birth to these adorable Airedale puppies.
This video is the Airedale puppy that has a tan color collar . . . We call him Mr. Tanner.
We put color collars on all the puppies at about three weeks old. Really, except for some weight differences, to me anyway, all of the puppies look so cute, I really cannot differentiate between them by just looking at their faces. Just a couple of days ago, it was our weekly Airedale Terrier puppy weight taking time. There are two very important reasons for weighing Airedale puppies on a weekly basis. The first reason is, you want to be sure that the puppies are gaining weight every week. If for some reason they didn’t gain any weight, at this stage of their little life, it would be time to bring them to the vet.
The second main reason for weighing your Airedale puppies on a weekly basis, is to ensure that when your next deworming treatment comes up (usually every 10 days) you give the right dosage, which is based on their current weight.

This is what the AKC says on the subject of tail docking and dewclaw removal: Many owners of specific breeds wish to maintain their dog’s historic practical function by having their puppy’s ears cropped, tails docked, or dewclaws removed. While some unfamiliar with the breeds believe that this is purely aesthetic, these procedures actually enhance the dog’s ability to perform the tasks it is meant to do. Happy Airedale 3 week puppy birthday!
Yes, on 1-2-2019 in the afternoon all nine puppies were born from about 2:58 PM to 11:50 PM.
After the first few days of birth, I went back to letting Annie naturally feed her pups. Well, in just 3 days, I would say it was a partial success. Now, for you folks who believe in letting things go all natural, I’m sorry to say I did have to intervene to help Annie out, but, just during the first few days..

The Airedale is the largest of the British terriers. They weigh 19–25 kilograms (42–55 lb) in fit condition and have a height at the withers of 58–61 centimetres (23–24 in) for males, with females slightly smaller. The American Kennel Club standard specifies a very slightly smaller dog. Larger Airedales, up to 55 kilograms (121 lb) can sometimes be found in North America. We have nine Airedale Terrier puppies that were born on January 2, 2019. They will be ready for new homes in the first week of March 2019. We had three females and six males.
Annie is 4.5 Yrs old, and 53.5 lbs., and Jack is 5yrs old and 75-80Lbs. Both have had no health issues. The puppies have already been to the veterinarian and had their tails dock and their dewclaws removed. Once they turned six weeks old, they’ll be going back to the veterinarian, for a full physical check of each puppy.
Because of the size of the Dam and Sire, there is a good possibility that the majority of the puppies will be near the top and of the AKC standard, and or over the size standard. All the puppies will be up to date on their shots and de-worming.
